In one of the Republican presidential debates this year only three candidates said that they do not believe in evolution. They were Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AK), and Congressman Tommy Tancredo (R-CO). Others, however, have been sympathetic to ID and have defended it politically. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) is one such senator. Some congressmen have not openly defended ID but voted for the Santorum Amendment of the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001. For example, Senator John Edwards (D-NC) is one such senator.
Others have said that if a president or presidential candidate lends an ear to ID, he or she should be impeached. What is everyone's opinion on this? Should political candidates be ousted for lending an ear to ID?
